Frequently asked questions:

• When is the library open?

Monday - Thursday ​8:00am - 6:00pm; Friday 8:00am - 4:30pm
Hours subject to change due to faculty meetings, classes using the library, and other events.

• How do I get a new ID card?

Bring $5 cash to the Library Help Desk and we'll make you one in a jiffy.

• What type of payment does the library accept? Can I use my Eagle Card?

The library does not have the capability to handle payments with an Eagle Card. The library accepts cash only for payments less than $20. Payments over $20 can be paid either in person with cash, OR online HERE.

• How do I print from my laptop to the library printers?

​Go to File > Print > for black & white, select "HS-Library-BW" For color, select "HS-Library-Color_Printer."
CHECK HOW MANY PAGES YOU ARE PRINTING and adjust if necessary. Click "Print." Pick up and pay for your print job at the Library Help Desk.

• How much does it cost to print?

​Black & white: .25/pg  Color: .50/pg. 

• Does the library have a copy machine/scanner? How much does it cost?

Yes. Black & white only. Copies are .25/pg. 

• Does the library have calculators I can check out?

Yes! We have graphing and scientific calculators available for same-day checkout. Failure to return a calculator by the end of the day results in a $1/day fine.

• What other stuff can I check out from the library?

In addition to books and calculators, we have laptop cables, external laptop powerpacks, phone cables, calculator cables, 3D goggles (for use with a cell phone), DVDs, external DVD drives.

• Can you help me with a research project or other assignment?

​We'll try! Visit the Library Help Desk, or click on the "Chat with us" button at the bottom right of this screen, or click on the "How Do I...?" tab above, then click "Ask The Librarian."

• I forgot my earbuds! Do you sell them?

Yes, for $1 cash.

• There's a book I really want, but the library doesn't have it! Will you get it? How do I make book recommendations?

Just tell us what you want! Either in person, via Chat (click on the "Chat with us" button at the bottom of this screen), or click on the "Suggestions" tab above. If your requested title meets Chaminade's selection criteria, we'll order it and it will be ready for check-out in about 2 days.

• There's a 3D printer in the library! Can I use it?

Sure! See Mrs. Benning for training. Cost depends on the project you want to print.

• I have suggestions for how to improve the library, its website, physical space, and/or its services. Do you have an online Suggestion Box? What if I have a complaint and want to remain anonymous?

The library is YOUR space. We welcome your suggestions, and want to know how we can better serve you. Click the "Suggestions" tab above. You can remain anonymous. (FYI: Mrs. Benning is the only one who reads the submissions.)
